Please have your swimmer arrive 10–15 minutes prior to their scheduled practice time so they can check in and get ready before practice begins. Also, please write your child's name in Sharpie on one of their upper arms — this helps the coaches identify and learn each child by name.

To be ready for practice, swimmers should bring:

  • Appropriate swimwear (already on them)
  • Goggles
  • Swim cap
  • Fins (for age groups to be announced)
  • Sunscreen (already applied)
  • Towel
  • Water bottle
  • A bag to keep it all in

Please label everything as best you can and keep an eye on the lost and found collection.

If you have questions or concerns: After check-in, several board members will be available to help with any questions as we begin the season. Any question is a good question — we’re happy to help! Please defer to board members during practice times for anything that can’t wait. Practice time is for swimmers and coaches only.

As in years past, there will be no parents or siblings (unless swimming) allowed on deck during practices, but you're welcome to observe from outside the gate. Please also be mindful and courteous to our neighbors (and their pets) as we make use of the pool and park. Let’s show that the Hurricanes are not only strong swimmers but outstanding community members!

"Practice puts brains in your muscles." — Sam Snead

"I show up to practice everyday with the mindset that I am there to get better." — Caeleb Dressel

"Confidence comes from what you do in practice every single day." — Jordan Wilimovsky
